Get to Know Kensley
I am a credentialed LPC-S, holding a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Southern Nazarene University. After graduating from Oklahoma Christian University with a BA in Accounting, I spent several years working in public accounting, banking and HR before pursuing my true passion of counseling. Working in the financial world showed me just how much human interaction meant to me and I decided that I did not want to spend my life sitting in front of a computer, instead I chose sitting in front of people. Through my experience counseling in community mental health and private practice, I have established many valuable relationships by sitting one-on-one with my clients and understanding who they are and what they have been through. Sometimes it might feel like it is impossible to regain your confidence and get back to the person you once knew, but it is possible, and we can do it together. Let’s turn your “I would never able to do this,” into “Guess what I just did.”
“It is rewarding to be able to see people start in one place and end in another. I feel very honored that people will come in and share things that they are not yet comfortable sharing with others. It is a privilege and a humbling experience to be able to work through those things with someone. It is pure joy to know that this person can leave a renewed person.” - Kensley Merry
